Aisling Bea

Aisling was born on 16 March 1984, in Kildare Ireland. She is one of Ireland's most successful and well-known comedians. Bea was on QI along with Stephen Fry. Aisling Cliodhnadh O'Sullivan (born 16 March 1984) is better known by her stage name Aisling Bea, is a popular Irish actor, writer and comedian. After appearing in bit parts in a variety of Irish and British television series from 2009 Bea started her career as a stand-up comic in the year 2011. In 2012 she was on sketch comedy shows or sitcoms. The actress began to appear regularly in panel shows following the win of an award from the Edinburgh Comedy Awards. In 2016, and in 2017, she was the team leader on 8 Out of 10 Cats. Also, she is a contestant of 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. Her parents were Brian O'Sullivan and Helen O'Sullivan. Sinead is the younger of her siblings. In 2012, she became the first woman ever to receive the So You Think You Are Funny Award. Bea was presented with the award to commemorate her father's passing. Aisling Cliodhnadh O'Sullivan was born in Kildare town County Kildare on 16 March 1984. She was the daughter of Brian O'Sullivan. Brian was an equine veterinarian who took his own life when Bea was three years old, though she did not know the cause of his death until she turned 13. The stage name she chose was Bea to honor her deceased father. Bea also wrote an article published in The Guardian on her family's suicide story. Bea and her sister Sinead and her sister Sinead, were brought up by Helen Moloney (n e Moloney), a former jockey and teacher at a secondary-school. Their parents were both obsessed with racing and horses. Bea was a child an instructor in the Irish National Stud. From the age of a child, Bea knew that she was not interested in the racing industry. She was more interested in the performing arts.
